William Curtis and Matthew Wilkinson found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of William Smith in the parish of St Mary, Newington on 11th April 1764: robbing him of a silver watch (valued at 40/-), a watch seal(valued at 1/-), a pair of silver shoe buckles (valued at 10/-) and 10/- in money numbered.

The St James Chronicle of 4th to 6th September reports their execution on the 3rd: whereas the Kentish Post reports it as taking place on he 6th.
